Are you a Bookworm?!

I saw this book survey on Krysten's blog, After I Do, and just knew that I wanted to play along!

1. Favorite book - Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

2. Least favorite book -  Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maquire (such a crude book, wouldn't recommend this to anyone)

3. Book that makes you laugh out loud - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (I loved that Hagrid seemed so much like his character in the movie! and the use of the word blubber made me giggle!)

4. Book that makes you cry - several favorites, but The Shack by William P. Young, made me cry the hardest! I think P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern would be the close second.

5. Book you wish you could live in - Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

6. Favorite young adult book - The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

7. Book that you can quote/recite - Not any that I can think of. I'm terrible at memorizing.

8. Book that scares you - Frankenstein by Mary Shelly (but still so good!)

9. Book that makes you sick - The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory (good book but some of the practices of King Henry and the nobles sicken me)

10. Book that changed your life - I'm assuming this answer was meant to be a novel so I'm going to say Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers (The love the man showed the woman is the most unconditional I've ever read about. I seek to love that way. I remember I started to think about marriage differently.)

11. Book from your favorite author - not sure I have a favorite author. Just read whatever looks interesting.

12. Book that is most like your life - Most like my relationship maybe would be Pride and Prejudice: Darcy and Elizabeth. Steven and I could really stand each other when we first met. Other than that, I don't know.

13. Book whose main character is most like you - ???

14. Book whose main character you want to marry - Pride and Prejudice (I'm a huge Mr. Darcy fan!)

15. First "chapter book" you remember reading as a child - tons of Hank The Cowdog books

16. Longest book you've read - Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (I'm starting to sound like a broken record!)

17. Shortest book you've read - Fahrenheit 451 (I think?! I remember it being very short)

18. Book you're most embarrassed to say you like - The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares (read these in high school. Sooooo girly, but good!)

19. Book that turned you on - Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer. (Um... Hello?!!?!!) but Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife by Linda Berdoll was by far the steamiest! It's kind of a P&P continuation through this author's eyes, but it would make Jane Austen faint....I'm sure of it!

20. Book you've read the most number of times - I'm not known to re-read books much, but I've been wanting to read Redeeming Love again.

21. Favorite picture book from childhood - I'll Love You Forever by Robert Munsch

22. Book you plan to read next - Finish Harry Potter series then start Matched by Ally Condie

23. Book you tell people you've read, but haven't (or haven't actually finished) - Never really done that. Just say I haven't read it.

24. Book that contains your favorite scene - Pride and Prejudice ( the proposals to Jane and Elizabeth, can't choose, they are both wonderful!)

25. Favorite book you read in school - Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (that book blew my mind!)

26. Favorite nonfiction book - Boy Meets Girl: Say Hello to Courtship by Joshua Harris (read this in high school)

27. Favorite fiction book - I'm going to say the Twilight series. I just really loved them all!

29. Book you're currently reading - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

30. Favorite coffee table book - Shoes by Linda O'Keeffe

31. Favorite adventure book - {I added this question to the survey because I wanted to share this and see what other's enjoyed!} Mine would be Fire by Kristen Cashore

  2. I'm about to read Matched as well, just have to finish the book I'm reading now. And I really feel like I probably need to read Pride and Prejudice.

  3. ooooh!! I love this type of survey!! The book I say I have read but never actually finished is actually Pride and Prejudice. I know! Shameful! I always get 80% done and then something happens and I never get to finish it. I have tried reading it three times. I finally just gave up and watched the film {which I LOVE}. :)

  12. I am not a bookworm... I do read every now and then, but with kids and the way I like to read, which is completely absorbed until the book is finished, I would neglect them.
